![]() ![]() The YouView site states this and it works every time. Note that this will only work with the Humax Foxsat HD/HDR (Freesat) and HD/HDR Fox T2 (Freeview HD) boxes, not with earlier ones or the YouView box. This really does work but you need to press the two buttons for 10 seconds not 5. A message confirming the change of Mode will appear on screen. Press a NUMERIC button (from 1 to 6) to select a different mode.ħ. Press a Numeric Key ( ~ ) to select the modeĦ. Press and hold the 0 and OK buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the PVR button on the remote stays red.ĥ. ![]() Point the remote control towards the remote control sensor of the target receiver.Ĥ. The Humax remote controls clashing is very easy to overcome. I can't test the new update at the moment, though, as I'm being forced to lie on a terrace in blazing Spanish sunshine, an ice-cold glass of Tinto Verano at my side, instead :-( But if you don't, time to brave your TV's menu system and find where to disable it. I expect it also switches an 'On' TV to the YouView input, like my Sony Bluray player does, which I shall like, but not everyone will. Regards chris jcThe June update, just released, is slated to provide working CEC, whereby it turns on your TV and switches to the YouView input. The wife gains much from having recording during the day when she is cooking in the sun, and then watches during the evening especially when it is a partly boring prog and she can fast foward the boring (like tennis for instance). I have always got round the matter by clipping wire 8 on the SCART connecter which is not clever, just an easy fix. I will have to investigate the "CEC" matter. Thanks for that, most enlightening, especially "hard disk" or high def", that had not occurred to me, shame to say. They all have their individual remotes.Īlso, while the YouView box display says "TV", ok I think, it also says "FULL" which seems suspicious because I have recorded nothing, and "ITV" ok I think because it it probably on channel ITV.Īlso, when I switch on the YouView box on it switches the main TV to it whatever the main TV is on. How can I overcome this or do I have to send the YouView box back because of the conflict of remote(s). And there are 2 built-in speakers supporting Dolby Atmos, so you can enjoy roaring cinematic sound too.Have very recently received my "YOUVIEW" box which as far as I have experimented seems to work, BUT, I have for some years had both a "FREEVIEW" (humax) box 9300 and a "FREESAT" (humax) box, both of which have worked just fine.įor both I have downloaded and printed the full Humax instruction manuals but have now found there is no equivalent for the YouView manual (that I can find).Īlso after setting up the YouView box (connected to Scart 2 of 3) the remote control seems to have corrupted the settings on the FreeSat box (connected to Component input on TV) at least but I'm not sure about the FeeView box (connected to Scart 1 of 3 on TV). You can place it just below the screen thanks to Ultra-Short Throw technology – so your movie won't be ruined by someone coming and going. TriChroma triple colour laser light technology and 2,700 lumens of brightness make colours pop.
